Another Believer Signs Up!

I’m proud to announce another new customer!

Exocet are innovators in watersports, and with an international team, they're strong on technical information on their great products, but need a way to tell the world clearly.

So, I’ve been asked to give a fresh universal tone throughout their 2008 web, print and dealer literature.

Former Windsurfing World Champion and owner Patrice Belbeoch, and Tor Bakke the Art Director there are already super-happy with my work, which is really satisfying to hear. Tor mailed me after the first batch was completed and said, 'Thanks heaps, in my opinion this is absolutely brilliant stuff! Snappy, and to the point indeed...'

I got the job after they picked up on this Blog’s comments on one of their products, and also ‘cos I’d brutally attacked them for some awful ‘international’ English.

But, to their credit they’re an exceptionally forward thinking company, and eventually, after a year of dialogue, they’ve opened their minds to having a copywriter in such a specialist field.

I’m confident they’ll benefit massively from it as markets like the US will really take their quality products seriously now the literature’s clear and motivating.

This is a classic case of a company thinking they can’t afford or don’t need a copywriter, but who can’t believe they didn’t once they’ve seen the difference some crisp, sharp text has on their Brand’s identity.

They even ran the Blog piece on their Kona products sub-site!
